OK… So I am still experiencing near-constant fatigue and soreness, BUT, and this is huge – I am actually starting to feel like myself again. I stopped doing any sort of workout except the Primal 7 class and the two Pilates classes I’m doing at RedBird Pilates and I also allowed myself to stop logging my food and thinking about the numbers for a solid week. I am drinking less coffee and beginning to sleep better as well. I gained 2 lbs this week, but I don’t really care. It feels like I am headed in the right direction for the first time in a while, and I am not going to sweat a couple of pounds.
I am searching for a nutritionist that can give me SPECIFIC instructions on my diet. The one I called today said that was not how she worked so I cancelled the appointment. In the meantime I have decided that the next area of action is dinner. I am going to find a food plan that makes sense and start strictly following its portions for dinner every night for the next two weeks. Dinner is always the hardest meal to regulate, and I end up being less than honest and accountable around portion size if I am not careful. Breakfast and lunch are pretty much taking care of themselves, so dinner is the new battleground.
In amongst all of the over dependence on exercise and sloppy diet I have not lost any weight, but I HAVE lost another inch in the waist, 1.5 inches around my belly and 2 inches in my chest. I guess I’m still doing a fat for muscle exchange. I’ll take whatever progress I can get.
